Briggs had a soccer game this morning. As he and Zach were getting ready to leave for the game, he said, "Where are the girls? Don't they have to come to my game?" Zach responded, "Nope. They are still asleep so they're not coming this morning." To which Briggs replied, "So then why do I have to go?"

Staley and Adelie were discussing their lunch table protocols. At the middle school, the kids sit at round tables that hold 8 people. Both Staley and Adelie have a group of friends that they sit with at a lunch table, but they also need an "overflow" table because there are more than 8 friends that want to sit together. Adelie told us that her friends rotate who sits at the overflow table so that everyone takes their turn not sitting at the main table. Staley scoffed at this and said, "I always get to sit at the main table because I bring my lunch every day. At our table, you snooze, you lose."
Sometimes I wonder how two kids from the same two parents raised in the same household can be so different.
Adelie: "College sounds like fun because you can live in a dorm with your friends, and you don't have to take math."
