It's tough to be a little sister. Many things in Adelie's life seem unfair when she compares herself to Staley. It's not fair. Staley can run faster. It's not fair. Staley can draw better. It's not fair. Staley gets to do more activities. The other day Staley had her singing lesson and Adelie was crying because she doesn't get to have singing lessons yet. Through her tears, Adelie added, "And Staley already gets to have lots more birthdays than I do."
Adelie may eventually run faster than Staley or draw better than Staley or get involved in more activities than Staley. Unfortunately for Adelie, Staley will always win in the number of birthdays category.
Life can be so unfair sometimes.
