With Adelie's birthday falling on spring break again this year, we spread her birthday celebrations throughout the month of March.
We started her birthday celebrations earlier in the month with her birthday activity of choice: play time and a sleepover with her friends Stella and Annaleise.
The girls played dolls and put on a play and watched Encanto.
Although Anna ended up not feeling well and going home before the sleepover portion of the party, she was able to enjoy the play time and movie time.
Staley and Olivia (Stella's sister) who also slept over put on a mermaid tea party for the younger girls the next morning.
We then celebrated March birthdays with my side of the family the following week-end.
There was play time with cousins and presents and dinner and treats. These are a few of Adelie's favorite things!
For her birthday, Adelie really wanted to get her ears pierced, so Zach took her to get that done. Although nervous, Adelie did very well and is SO excited about her newly pierced ears.
We were in Cincinnati for Spring Break with my friend Christie and her girls on Adelie's actual birthday. (Another post about our trip to follow.) So we decorated with streamers and balloons, had cinnamon rolls for breakfast, gave Adelie her presents, let Adelie pick her birthday meal (from a handful of easy choices to make in an air bnb house without a ton of groceries), and celebrated Adelie while we were away on our trip.
And although we couldn't actually find a lighter or matches in our rental house to light her candle, Adelie still got to enjoy brownies and ice cream and presents and fun with friends on her birthday.
We finished off birthday fun with Adelie's birthday meal of choice (meatballs) at Uma and Papa's house with Grammie when we got back from our trip. It was a full month of celebrating Adelie's 9th birthday...and she relished it all!
