Yesterday we had a little red hen moment at our house. All 3 kids were excited about the prospect of raking the leaves in our yard. Now, none of them were overly keen or committed to the raking. Or getting the tarp. Or hauling the leaves to the curb. But when it was time to jump in the leaves, there was much more excitement and willingness to participate.
Unlike the little red hen, however, I did not keep all the leaf jumping fun to myself.
