Good-bye, March!

Just like February, we finished off the month with a bang...our spring break trip to the Smoky Mountains with the Rays.  But there were plenty of other things that happened before we made it to Tennessee.  So stay tuned for the spring break blog posts and plenty more pics like this...

but until then, here is what else happened this month.

The girls and I went to NTA's 90's Cabaret.

The music was definitely more nostalgic for me than the girls (and Staley and I sported some official 90's vintage gear), but we all had a lot of fun watching the NTA teaching artists perform and hanging out with friends.

Briggs celebrated his 10th birthday with a Pizza Hut lunch date with me and Grammie...

birthday dinner of choice (tuna casserole, rolls, peas, and bananas) and dessert of choice (Oreo balls and ice cream) with grandparents...

and laser tag and play time with friends (Freddie, Jackson, Ryker, and George).  It's good to be 10!

Staley's Bible Quiz team competed at Taylor University in Indiana.  Staley quizzed up on the high school team.  They drew really hard to teams to compete against, winning just 1 of 4 quizzes and missing out on the tournament.  

The junior high team, however, went undefeated on the day and won.  Even though the high school team didn't do as well as they had hoped, Staley still was the top quizzer on her team and they all had a lot of fun.

Staying in a hotel, going out to eat, playing cards, and hanging out with friends is always fun...no matter the outcome of the quiz off.

Adelie and I went with Violet's mom and sister to watch the quiz off.  We also had a lot of fun staying in a hotel, going out to eat, and hanging out with friends.

We celebrated January through early April birthdays with Zach's side of the family.

After the beautiful way Zach re-did our smaller kitchen pantry, he took another week-end to finish our bigger kitchen pantry.  It used to be an unfinished old stairwell with a plastic shelf to hold food items.

He finished the walls and hung actual shelves.

I love how bright and clean and organized our new pantry is!

The girls helped out NTA with a Tech Kids' work day to build and paint sets for their upcoming show. 

The kids all kept busy throughout the month with their NTA classes and church activities.  Staley also started her track practices, and I started volunteering to help with the distance kids for track.

We filled our March with celebrations and activities and projects and glimpses of spring capped off by a fun spring break trip.  Stay tuned...
