Staley's class just completed a school project. Each child chose any animal they wanted, completed a research project, wrote a paper, and then decorated a potato to look like that animal. Many of the kids in Staley's class chose animals that you would expect: tiger, dolphin, cat, dog, tree frog, cheetah, zebra. Staley chose the northern hairy nosed wombat. It seems very fitting: a unique and rare animal for my one-of-a-kind little girl.
Just like her northern hairy nosed wombat, Staley isn't afraid to step outside the box...and I love that!
