While on our spring break vacation in Florida (more to come about that), we ate at a place that sold padlocks that you could write on and then lock someplace around their outdoor eating area. There was a plaque explaining that the "love lock" symbolizes everlasting love, and if you return together to this place, your love will be locked forever.
We were looking at the overwhelming number of locks around the garden area, discussing the seemingly high price point, and estimating just how much money the place makes on selling these locks. As we were walking back to our car, we had this conversation:
Adelie: "Daddy called me a sucker."
Zach: "I did not. I called the people who bought the locks suckers."
Adelie: "I know. And if I was a grown up, I would have bought a lock."
And I have no doubt she would have.
Love this girl who is a sucker for all things cute and kitschy.
