Well, 7.5 years later this mini van has transitioned with us from one kid to three kids. It has weathered diaper blow outs, spilled snacks, melted crayons, and muddy feet. It has traveled over 200, 000 miles in the 13 years it's been around, and has served us well. With the years and the miles have come the battle scars of living a long life of service. There is the rust. The dents. The bashed in right rear corner. The cracked windshield. The leaky fluids. It's been a good van, but it's time to move on.
Good-bye, Old Girl!
As we are always in the market for a good deal, Zach kept an eye on the State Farm company car auction site, looking for a "new" vehicle to meet our needs. A red beauty caught his eye, and his last minute bidding strategy made her ours. After a quick flight to Nebraska and an 8 hour drive to bring her home, Zach introduced our new van to the family. We were all smitten by her fun features (hello, back up camera and blue tooth capability) and her shiny exterior. With a little extra love from Zach and Briggs, she was cleaned, polished, and looking good as new.
There's no relationship quite like a boy and his shop vac.
Seven and half years ago, I learned that there is so much to love about a mini van. This time I didn't need any convincing.
I'm already in love!
