Briggs was napping and I was baking in the kitchen. The girls came in and said, "We want to do an art project with clay and food coloring and glitter." I replied hesitantly, "Okay, but try to keep the mess somewhat contained." Staley responded, "We won't make a mess." To which Adelie quickly added, "We'll
try not to make a mess. We'll try."
I appreciate that Adelie has realized her own limitations. Not making a mess just isn't in the cards for her, but at least she's aware of that reality. At this point, I'll settle for trying.
There are many things she is good at.
Neatness is not one of them.
